| Hop Kettle | 27 Commercial Rd, The Docks, Gloucester GL1 2ED (Food dock) | Beer | Website | Quality beers, all their own brand, about half of it rotates. Quite a lot of room upstairs, always seems to be empty so easy to get a seat. Food is a rotating guest kitchen downstairs so highly variable. |
| The Pelican | 4 St Mary's St, Gloucester GL1 2QR (past the cathedral) | Beer | Website | More traditional pub but still has a good and wide craft beer selection. Near the cathedral. |
Cheltenham
Restaurants

|---|---|---|---|---|
| The Beefy Boys | 70 Regent St, Cheltenham GL50 1HA (near Old Courthouse) | Burger | Website | Many outstanding burgers. Need to book to get a seat. Pizza Boy is the best burger. Have to pay seperately for chips but they're massive. Do not order 6 patties or you get COVID. |
| Fat Master's | 4 Regent St, Cheltenham GL50 1HE (near Old Courthouse) | Pizza | Website | Formerly Fat Toni's. Price-efficient pizzas - they're really good and the large is VERY big. Mainly a delivery place but doesn't deliver to Brockworth/Glocuester. You can always get a seat the resturant is always empty. |
| Bao + Bbq | 3 Regent St, Cheltenham GL50 1HE (near Old Courthouse) | Taiwanese + Texan fusion | Website | Order multiple small plates, clues in the name you get bao buns and pulled pork and the like. Could rack up a large bill if you eat more than average. Need to book has about four tables. |
| Paparrito's | 214-216 High St, Cheltenham GL50 3HF (near the Brewery Quarter) | Mexican | Website | Get a nice burrito real quick. |
| 288 Bar & Wok | 288 High St, Cheltenham GL50 3HQ (near the Brewery Quarter) | Chinese | Website | Not as quick as Paparrito's but still decently quick and good food, decent for if you're going to the cinema at like 7 and you go after work. |
| Meat the Greeks at No3 | 3 Bennington St, Cheltenham GL50 4ED (near the Brewery Quarter) | Greek | Quick, doable for a lunch if you're on training, incredible halloumi fries. Quite small fills up quick. Excruciating name | |
| The Bottle of Sauce | St James Hotel, 7 Ambrose St, Cheltenham GL50 3LH (inbetween High Street and Waitrose) | Pizza, Burger | Website | Pub that does incredible pizzas, other pub food, alright beer selection. You might end up being recruited for Foundry Zero or Trapdoor. They run a lot of events like karaoke but never been? |
| The Railway | Railway Inn, New St, Cheltenham GL50 3QL (behind Waitrose) | Pub + Thai | Website | Jon recommmendation |
| Bhoomi Kitchen | 52 Suffolk Rd, Cheltenham GL50 2AQ (near Bath Road) | Curry | Website | Very posh curry but very nice. Probably need to book. Slightly weirder dishes but really good. Swing for a celebration of success or take your parents. |
| Indian Brasserie | 146 Bath Rd, Cheltenham GL53 7NG (on Bath Road) | Curry | Website | More normal but still good curry on Bath Road. Might get away with not booking for smaller tables. Only serves small bottles of beer? |
| Curry Corner | 133 Fairview Rd, Cheltenham GL52 2EX | Curry | Website | MEGA posh curry, it's won awards and featured on a Gordan Ramsey TV show (in a good way). No alcohol at all, not bring your own and they don't sell any. |

Bristol
Please see attached "The Bristol faq (UK Nats 2024).pdf", provided to us by Netrunner player and Bristol local James.
Some of the recommendations there have been added, especially if someone has actually been, and they've all been high quality but there's too many to add. There's coffee shops, resturants, and pubs towards the bottom of the document.
"The venue" that's referred to in the document was SPARKS Bristol, inbetween Cabot Circus and the centre, if that helps orient things.
Resturants
| Name | Address | Genre | Website | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Moltobuono! | 59 Park St, Bristol BS1 5NU (halfway up big hill) | Italian | Website | Posh Italian in Bristol. Might be hard to get into, but we have managed before with no reservation. |
| Pizza On The Park | 31 Berkeley Square, Bristol BS8 1HP (up the big hill) | Pizza | Website | Good pizza. You may remember it from the 2nd time we went to bookable Bristol cinema (we saw the conspiracy film). Normally quite easy to get in without a booking. |
| Urban Tandoor | 13 Small St, Bristol BS1 1DE (central, near the statue that was torn down) | Curry | Website | a.k.a. the mega-quick curry. They will probably get you seated and they will probably serve you pretty quick. Has been used to grab a quick meal and still get a train, or make a film festival screening. |
| Ramen Monster | Ramen Monster, 25 St Stephen's St, Bristol BS1 1JX (central but down a side street) | Japanese | Website | Authentic Japanese. Quite small and does fill up, but you can often get lucky if there's just a couple of you. |
| Small Bar | 31 King St, Bristol BS1 4DZ (middle of King Street, which is near the river) | Korean fried chicken | Website | Yes it really is called "Small Bar", and it is a small bar! Really good rotating craft beer selection and nice chicken. Like everything on King Street it fills up (and because it's small!), but there is a deceptive amount of seating. |
| Bertha's | Bertha's Pizza, The Old Gaol Stables, Cumberland Rd, Bristol BS1 6WW (Wapping Wharf, across the river and a bit behind the MShed museum) | Pizza | Website | Excellent sourdough pizza. |
Pubs
| Name | Address | Genre | Website | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Left Handed Giant Brewpub | Hawkins Ln, Redcliffe, Finzels BS1 6EU (on the river, on the way to Temple Meads) | Beer, pizza | Website | UK-renowend craft beer. Big pub but it still fills up, is very popular. Also does pizzas, but only vegetarian ones. Heard good things but not eaten. |
| Left Handed Giant St Philips Brewery & Tap Room | Wadehurst Industrial Park, Unit 3 St Philips Rd, Bristol BS2 0JE | Beer | Website | The actual brewery for the above entry. Likely emptier because it's in the middle of nowhere. They do take bookings unlike the pub which might fill it up on a given night. The beer is really good. Only open Thursday - Saturday. |
| Small Bar | 31 King St, Bristol BS1 4DZ (middle of King Street, which is near the river) | Beer, korean fried chicken | Website | Yes it really is called "Small Bar", and it is a small bar! Rotating craft beer selection that is very nice. King Street really fills up and it is very small, but you can sit outside on a nice day too. |
| The Llandoger Trow | Bristol BS1 4ER (bottom of King Street, near the river) | Beer | Website | Historic pub on King Street. Seems to survive the usual King Street business, lot of space round the back and upstairs. Big rotating craft beer selection. |
